Archaeology of the future is the slipping of today.
Today’s creation is an acknowledgment of yesterday and a departure for tomorrow. A never-ending cycle of traces to be linked.
Archaeology recalls something precious which is lost, merged under layers, and stories in material remains which connect the thread of yesterday
and today.
Sand, an element which can’t be held and still rests in its place. The golden thread is a search for lost connections between the past, present,
and future. Inspired by the Japanese craft of Kintsugi, of repairing broken pottery with powdered gold, and treating breakage as part of the history of an object, rather than to disguise it.
Here the golden thread is the protagonist of perseverance, wisdom, and value.
The title is a metaphor for the passage of time, and a homage to Gabriele D’Annunzio.
